In October 2018, Cedarcube established the “Behind the Mask” project, which has helped numerous families and individuals that have been affected by domestic abuse by providing them with counselling and therapy, as well aseducational and financial support. To help fund those that were affected, we created a charity masked ball in aid of domestic abuse victims on October 27th, 2018.
Furthermore, we asked our 2,236 lovely followers on Facebook, if they had any used wedding dresses, they could donate over to us. The donations would, later, help us raise funds to support people who experienced domestic abuse to access subsidised therapy and counselling.
Most problems and misunderstandings in families and relationships stem from faulty communication.Cedarcube sought to address this problem by putting together and delivering a communication workshop for the entire familyin 2019 . Delegates were able to learn:
- What constitutes a healthy and unhealthy relationship.- Different communication styles and why the way they were communicating is proving ineffective.- How to set boundaries and get more respect in their relationships.- How to adopt healthier communication styles going forward.
Post Covid, Cedarcube aims to deliver this workshop morewidely starting with Essex, U.K
