It’s that time of the year where lots of people are engaged in writing goals and objectives whether for work or their personal lives. But many goals go unaccomplished because they are not SMART. Here are a few tips to ensure your goals are SMART ,increasing chances of success…..
Vague aspirations rarely translate into tangible results. This is where the SMART framework comes in.
Goals should be:
Specific: Clearly defined, not general ("Learn Spanish" vs. "Be fluent in Spanish by next year").
Measurable: Quantifiable, allowing you to track progress ("Write one blog post a week" vs. "Write more").
Achievable: Realistic and within your reach, stretching you but not overwhelming you.
Relevant: Aligned with your values and overall objectives, ensuring it matters to you.
Time-Bound: Given a deadline, creating a sense of urgency and accountability
